Golf’s original grip manufacturer was established in 1925 when company founder, Elver Lamkin Golf Grips, began crafting premium leather grips in the garage of his suburban Chicago home.In the 1960’s, under the direction of Elver’s son Robert Lamkin, the company began manufacturing leather and, eventually, rubber grips to provide golfers with a more affordable and consistent-feeling golf grip.
